About Me
I am a stay-at-home mother of 3 small children. I enjoy sewing, but not making quilts or clothing (they are much too exact for me!). I am also an incredibly messy cook, as my husband loves to complain. So I make fun aprons!

The Holiday Fair 2006
The Holiday Fair in La Crosse Wisconsin was my first big sale and was a huge success. The goal was to earn enough money to bring us technologically into the 21st century. I met some wonderful people, and most everyone had a story about a special someone in their life that wore an apron. One lady collected aprons, and had over 40 aprons. I am proud to say that she added some of mine to her collection. This picture is from the Fair.
The lady on the left is my mom, Maxine (owner of Three Sister's Quilting). The lady in the middle is Nancy (owner of Anything Doughs). And I am on the right. This was the longest I have been away from my children (5 days) and the most adult conversation I have had since my son was born in 2001! What a fun time! River Ridge High School in Elizabeth, IL October
What a great trip. Nancy, her sister Janet, my friend Michelle and I went to Elizabeth, IL (near Galena), for a very busy weekend. On the way stopped at Yellow Bird Quilt Shop in Lansing Iowa. The show was only 2 days, but I sold almost as many there as I did at the 2006 Holiday Fair. Met some fabulous handcrafters. Even traded a custom made apron to match the Kitchen Carvers logo for some beautiful rolling pins and spoons. Michelle and I on the left and Nancy and Janet on the right.

Nancy with her camo money-belt apron, me with an a-line wrap-around apron,
Linda with her flirty half w/2nd flounce holiday apron, and Kris with a gathered
1/2 apron. Great time and great friends-between Elizabeth and Holiday Fairs,
I received special orders for 35 aprons. I just finished the last today (12/22/07)!

This is my very good friend Amy, helping out with the Onalaska Omni Center
Spring Craft show in April of 2008. We had a great time hanging out, laughing,
and being away from our children! Very good girl bonding time!
Company History I began making aprons in March of 2006. Starting out, I made an apron for myself. My youngest had shredded my adorable vintage apron that I had picked up at a rummage sale. I tried to get the same feel from a new pattern, but it was uncomfortable and had no sense of fun. Now I follow some portions of a pattern, otherwise I make most of the designs myself. Some fabrics look great one way, while others look great a different way. In Boutiques My aprons are also for sale in a few places in the La Crosse area. The first is at Serenity Salon, Day Spa and Boutique. The second is at Three Rivers Waldorf school. Thirdly at Ambiance. Just added before Thanksgiving, Emma's Edible Images in La Crosse. You can also purchase aprons at Sugar Magnolias in Sterling, Virginia. |
